Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream

Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp matcha
Bring the cream, milk, and salt to a boil. Remove from heat. Whisk the egg, sugar, and matcha in a bowl (the matcha may not dissolve completely). Slowly pour the hot cream milk mixture into the bowl and whisk together. Transfer the mixture into a pot. Cook over low to medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. Pour mixture into a bowl and let it cool to room temperature. Then let the mixture chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour. Pour mixture into the ice cream machine and let it churn. Freeze and enjoy!
